About IWKR
Ireland Wadokai Karate-Do Renmei (IWKR) holds the Irish mandate for the Federation of Wadokai Europe (FWE) and therefore trains the teams for the Wado Europeans and World Championships. Blackrock Community Centre is the Irish headquaters for Wadokai Europe. The IWKR is run by Sensei Tommy Marrett 4th Dan, under the technical direction of the Federation of Wadokai Europe vice president and technical Committee member Sensei Barry Wilkinson 7th Dan.
About FWE
The Federation of Wadokai Europe (FWE) is composed of the Wadokai Headquarters of most European Nations. The Federation of Wadokai Europe has the aim of promoting, organising, regulating and popularising Wadokai Karate.
Shingo Ohgami (8th Dan) is the Technical Director for the Federation of Wadokai Europe (FWE).
He is a direct student of the founder of Wadoryu Karate Sensei Hironori Ohtsuka, between 1960 and 1981. Sensei Shingo Ohgami is a holder of Japan Karate Federation Wadokai:
1st class instructor license and
1st class examiner license
